Birmingham’s best-connected offices at BEORMA QUARTER set to disrupt city’s commercial norm

With the recent news of Birmingham’s tram network completing another phase and continuing to expand throughout Digbeth, a brand-new commercial space is set to benefit from this greatly, whilst disrupting the city’s norm.

1 Beorma Place is the premium office building that’s nearing completion at BEORMA QUARTER – right at the gateway to Digbeth. Part of a mixed-use development that also comprises 17 floors of apartments, this latest addition to Birmingham’s skyline from Salhia Real Estate offers a range of high-quality office floorplates with modern ESG benefits.

However, what’s become clear is that this development is so easily accessed they will also soon be known as the best-connected offices in Birmingham.

The best-connected offices in Birmingham, for the conscious commuter

Most modern commuters now crave convenience above all else, with many also showing a deeper consideration of the impact their travel has on the environment. Because of this, a variety of different commuting options are needed to meet their needs.

BEORMA QUARTER’s Digbeth location provides many methods of travel by road and rail as the best-connected offices in Birmingham. With Birmingham Moor Street station just a five-minute walk away, as well as both Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill stations also within easy walking distance, a host of local and national locations are instantly made viable.

Whilst many central offices can hinder those travelling by car, 1 Beorma Place is also within close proximity to the UK motorway network via the M6 and several A roads.

However, for those more conscious of their carbon emissions, Birmingham’s local bus and tram services have proven to be a popular alternative to driving. 1 Beorma Place’s prime location means both tram and bus stops are only a short distance from the development, unlocking many local destinations that aren’t served by the city’s train network.

Birmingham’s previously mentioned tram services have continued to expand throughout Digbeth as part of ongoing plans. Most recently, the new Eastside extension has created a wider route in the area, connecting BEORMA QUARTER to additional stops on Albert Street and at Millenium Point. This service has also further enhanced connectivity throughout the city, serving stops as far as Wolverhampton – another milestone in elevating Birmingham’s infrastructure since the tram network launched in 2015.

Becoming a central business destination

With the future looking extremely healthy for Birmingham, supported by a wealth of investment, the city’s travel links are also set to receive a significant boost.

Most notably, the arrival of HS2 will dramatically impact Birmingham, triggering a huge amount of economic interest, transforming the local area and creating wider and faster travel opportunities than ever. 1 Beorma Place will be at the centre of these changes as it lies just five minutes’ walk away from Curzon Street Station, Birmingham’s only HS2 terminal.

Not only that, but Digbeth will also be benefiting from an abundance of regenerative works. An element that will be particularly useful to the influx of commuters will be the new Sky Park – an homage to the popular High Line in the Manhattan region of New York City.

This ongoing project will see two new bridges combine with a disused viaduct to create an impressive walkway. Highlighted by garden-like foliage and panoramic city views, the completed park is also planned to increase housing, parking and hospitality opportunities, whilst encouraging healthier and greener commutes.

With thousands of new homes being added in the coming years, the footfall within Digbeth is set to increase considerably, adding to what will already be an established business and social community at BEORMA QUARTER.

An exciting future, uplifted by change

By expanding Birmingham’s focus beyond the Colmore Business District and other central hubs, BEORMA QUARTER is able to create healthy change and encourage commercial growth.

Scott Rutherford, Partner at Cushman & Wakefield and agents for the development, said: “By investing in office space at 1 Beorma Place, businesses of all kinds will benefit from these exceptional modes of transport to form working lifestyles that invigorate their team members – team members that can be more diverse and from more regions than ever.”

The talent pool that 1 Beorma Place is able to capture will be vast, well-skilled and highly employable. They will have more options than ever thanks to the connectivity Birmingham is ready to benefit from to become the cornerstone of this exciting new community in the heart of the country’s most up-and-coming region.
